WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington’s Fit for Fun Center blew out candles Friday and celebrated its 16th birthday.
The center began more than a decade ago for kids 5 and under to have a fun and safe place to play.
Parents brought their children to enjoy a day of doing arts and crafts, eating cake and ice cream and playing in a bouncy house.
Fit for Fun Center’s Recreation Director Mary Albanese has been working there for 14 years. She says this place is great for parents, too.
“We invite the parents to have fun as well. Sometimes they jump into the ball pool, which is great, ’cause the kids will see the parents having fun, and the kids will have more fun,” Albanese said.
She says she hopes the center continues to grow and for families who come to enjoy every moment that they are here.
