WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Since 1977, the Goody Goody Omelet House has served Wilmington residents and visitors breakfast and lunch every day.
This weekend, the restaurant celebrated its 40th birthday!
Patrons packed into the small restaurant with a maximum occupancy of just 35 to be a part of the festivities and get a nice meal.
Her son, Ernest, has taken the reins and is very thankful to see his beloved restaurant make it to such an important milestone.
“Very fortunate to have great family and friends. My customers are our family and our employees are definitely our family. Just can’t say enough about them. They do all the hard work,” said Mayhew.
Mayhew thinks his mother would have been very proud to see so many in the community come out to celebrate the restaurant’s special day.
